Imagine a beautiful beach like the one above, you used to go there a lot in childhood, as a teenager, and when you married with your kids. And you go back today, after not going for many many years, the paradisiacal beach is gone, the ocean has been sand filled like 70 meters into the ocean itself, and you see a sign board saying ATLANTIC CITY, a multi billion dollar development for the rich and stupid, hotels, corporate offices, in fact a mid ocean BABYLON 2. I just got back from BAR BEACH Lagos, and this is what I saw a massive environmental crime, which will effect generations to come. A beach that was accessible to all be you rich or poor, God made beaches all over the world for all to enjoy and relax. In Lagos is common practice to destroy beaches in favor of property developments, or for private use. Users pay to get in. And the ordinary hard working man and woman will go where? Lagos is fast running out of land, so the solution is to sand fill and sand pack the ocean. The solution for the greedy fools who can not see beyond the next 10 years not to talk 50, 100 years, and who do not care that even in nature nemesis reigns. Challenging nature in this brutal beastly manner in my view is the same as challenging GOD for most of us who believe. Yet these criminals, state governments, federal governments, private interests, corporate interest, greedy, money loving interests, despicable interests, tend to get away time after time with impunity..... Until it all comes crumbling down, in the face of a tsunami, a massive tornado or tropical storm, essential to remind man and woman alike, in the face of nature in the end, we are nothing but greedy, money loving little rats......
